Static and dynamic QR codes look similar, but they behave differently.
Static QR
The QR contains the final data (URL/text) directly. If you print it and later change the link — you need a new QR.
Dynamic QR
The QR points to a short redirect you control. Later you can update the destination without reprinting.
Which one to choose?
- Static: best for permanent links that never change
- Dynamic: best for campaigns, menus, and anything that might change
