The most common QR problem in print is simply: it’s too small.
Quick recommendations
- Business cards: 20–25 mm (bigger if the data is long)
- Menus / table tents: 25–35 mm
- Posters: 35–60 mm (depends on viewing distance)
- Packaging: 25–40 mm (and avoid curved corners)
Distance rule
A simple rule: the farther people scan from, the bigger the QR must be. When in doubt, increase the size.
Don’t forget the quiet zone
Leave empty margin around the QR (the “quiet zone”) so scanners can detect it reliably.
